CHIRUCA SKINS
WE MANUFACTURE WITH SPANISH CATTLE HIDES AND SKINS
SKINS
CHIRUCA®
The leathers from which CHIRUCA® Tech Equipment manufactures its boots are made from Spanish cattle hides.
The reason is logical: if cowhides from countries with cold climates are used, the animals have very closed skin pores to protect themselves from the low temperatures in these countries, and when used in a boot, the sweat of the wearer’s feet would not transpire sufficiently; On the other hand, cattle hides from countries with very warm climates are not suitable either, as the pores of the hides of these animals are too large, so that the sweat of the foot is quickly wicked away and the hunter’s feet would risk getting cold very quickly under certain circumstances, or even freezing in snowy or icy conditions.
On the other hand, depending on the thickness of the cow hide, several layers can be removed from the hide:
FIRST LAYER
It is called grain leather. This type of leather can be given very different finishes, so that one of them, if we brush the grain leather, would be called nubuck leather, and to the touch it is smooth/peach leather.
SECOND LAYER
It is called split leather and is velvety to the touch.
On the other hand, depending on the thickness of the cowhide, several layers can be removed from the cowhide:After passing these hides through the tanning and chemical treatment companies before delivery to CHIRUCA® Tech Equipment, both types, nubuck and split leather, are equally waterproof, breathable or tear and tear resistant.on the other hand, depending on the thickness of the cowhide, several layers can be removed from the cowhide:
materials next to the skins
On the outside of the boots (tongues, collar, sides) is cordura or nylon. This material is as resistant to tearing and tearing as leather.
Both leathers and cords are treated to be water repellent, but it is the GORE-TEX® inner lining that will guarantee waterproofness and breathability.
The hooks of the closure system through which the laces are passed incorporate anti-rust treatment.
The laces and sewing threads are water repellant; the laces will resist a weight of approximately 100 kgs. before breaking.
